If you're receiving an Affordable Connectivity Program benefit with another provider, you can easily transfer to Optimum and save on Optimum Internet or Mobile service.
Congress has not approved additional funding for the ACP, so as a result, the program will end in April 2024. As a reminder, the Federal Government stopped accepting new ACP applications in February.

Steps to transfer your ACP benefit
To transfer your ACP benefit from another provider to Optimum, please follow the steps below:

Make sure the person receiving the ACP benefit is the same as the Optimum account owner. Once approved, you'll see your credit within 2 bills.

What’s the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP)?
Optimum is proudly participating in the Federal Government’s Affordable Connectivity Program, a longer-term $14 billion program that replaced the Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) Program. This program helps eligible customers pay for Internet or Mobile service with a credit of up to $30 per month (up to $75 per month for households on Tribal Lands). It’ll help ensure U.S. households can afford the connections they need for work, school, healthcare and more.

NOTE: The Federal Government no longer accepts new applications and enrollments for the Affordable Connectivity Program as of February 8, 2024. Congress has not approved additional funding to keep the ACP running. As a result, the ACP will end in April 2024. Although the Federal Government no longer accepts new ACP enrollments, you can easily transfer an existing benefit from another provider to Optimum while the ACP has funding.
I’d like to transfer my affordable connectivity benefit to Optimum. Does Optimum offer Internet plans that are fully covered by the Affordable Connectivity Program?
Yes, if you’re switching to Optimum, 300 Mbps Internet is fully covered by the Affordable Connectivity Program credit. Call 866.203.4983 or shop online to find out what other plans may also be fully covered by the credit. Details.

I’m a current Optimum Internet customer. Are there any special offers for ACP eligible customers?
Yes, all Optimum customers with current Internet service who are enrolled in the ACP can call us at 866.347.4216 and ask for the “ACP FREE OFFER”. This offer can be applied to an existing Optimum Internet service at any time during the duration of the program.
If you’re a current Optimum Internet customer, Optimum Online (300 Mbps) is fully covered by the Affordable Connectivity Program credit. Details.

How do I transfer my affordable connectivity benefit from another service provider to Optimum?
If you're receiving an Affordable Connectivity Program benefit with another service provider, you may ask us to transfer your benefit to Optimum, which means you'll lose the benefit with your current provider once you're enrolled with Optimum. A household can only receive one Affordable Connectivity Program credit at a time.
- Get Optimum Internet service Shop Now or for Optimum Mobile service Shop Now. If you’re already a customer, move on to Step 2.
- Complete our application to transfer your ACP benefit to your Optimum account. When you fill out your enrollment application with us, please be sure you answer “Yes” when you are asked “Are you currently receiving an Affordable Connectivity Program credit from another service provider for this address?
We’ll let you know the status of your application within 5 business days. If approved, you’ll see your credit within the next two bills, as long as the ACP has funding. Note that due to the lack of additional funding from Congress, the last fully funded month for the ACP benefit is April 2024, and customers may receive a partial benefit for their May 2024 bill.

Affordable Connectivity Program: The Federal Government's Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) operated by the FCC reduces Internet charges for qualifying low-income households with a one per household benefit up to $30/mo. or up to $75/mo. for residents of Tribal Lands. The ACP stopped accepting new applications effective February 8, 2024. ACP transfer instructions and plans that may be free with the benefit can be found at Optimum.com/acp. Bulk internet and commercial accounts excluded. Terms, conditions, and restrictions apply. Free Internet claim is based on Internet tiers priced $30 or less. Credit will be applied to qualified and active customer accounts until the ACP expires, at which time customers will be responsible for full payment of the monthly bill at our then current rates and subject to our general terms and conditions. This benefit is portable to and from other participating providers but is not transferable to other individuals or households. Nonpayment of monthly bill may result in service suspension and/or downgrade.
FREE 300 MBPS W/ ACP OFFER: Offer for Optimum residential customers that currently receive the ACP benefit. After applying customer's ACP benefit of $30/mo., Optimum will credit the remaining $10/mo. balance and any applicable taxes and fees. Offer is not transferrable, may not be combined w/other offers, is limited to advertised level of srvc, and is not available in all areas. Other terms, restrictions & conditions apply. Auto-pay enrollment encouraged but not required to receive the ACP benefit or any Optimum Internet offer advertised as free after the ACP benefit is applied.
If you did not enroll in the ACP with Optimum, standard offer terms and conditions apply: Offer for new residential customers. Advertised price reflects $5 discount for enrolling in Auto Pay & Paperless Billing, must maintain both to keep discount. Pricing increases by $25/mo. as of month 13 and is then subject to further change. Former Optimum seasonal customers or customers previously not in good standing not eligible for promo. Acct with unpaid bill after due date is not in good standing. CONTRACT BUYOUT: Must provide copy of bill from competing provider, in same name and at same address, showing early termination fee (ETF) amount and that you were an active customer with the competitor at time of sale without a past due balance. Once all documents are received, you will receive a bill credit covering ETF amount up to max of $100 within 6-8 weeks provided account is maintained in good standing.

60-DAY INSTALL / ACTIVATION REIMBURSEMENT: Customer who is not satisfied and disconnects service within first 60 days of activation can receive a reimbursement up to $100 for Internet installation fee and/or up to $25 Mobile activation charges with competitor. Customer must provide 1st bill reflecting installation/activation charges with competitor within 60 days of disconnection.
