Hispanic Heritage Month Essay Contest

2018 Winners

Altice USA was proud to bring the Hispanic Heritage Month Essay Contest to middle and high school students in the Optimum and Suddenlink service areas. The essay contest asked students to respond to the following topic with an original essay in 500 words or less; "Name a Latino, past or present, with whom you would choose to spend a day, and explain why." Winners in the 6-8th grade and 9-12th grade categories were selected and prize presentations were held at the winners' schools. Altice USA employees, school administrators, classmates and local elected officials participated in the local events to celebrate these students, where they were presented with their prizes and had the opportunity to read their essays aloud.

Congratulations to the winners and all the students who participated in the contest!
